We’re an easy 13-minute walk from the city’s main square (Plaza Central) and five minutes from the Jose Tielemans central market. You can grab a taxi from the ADO bus station to ours for only 30-40 pesos (1.5-2 USD). Our area is a quiet residential area, but only a hop, skip, and jump from the hustle and bustle of the Guadalupe pedestrian street. You can reach all of San Cristobal’s main sites and restaurants on foot, and buy your daily necessities during a lunch break!

There is a laundry place around the corner that does same or next day pick-up or they even deliver your laundry back to Co404. It will cost you 10 pesos/kg to get your laundry washed, dried, pressed and delivered.

Is there a laundry place nearby?

We are only 5 minutes away from the huge local fruits and veggies market of San Cristóbal de las Casas. If you don’t go there for your daily groceries, you at least have to visit in once to experience the hustle and bustle of this colourful market. On Wednesdays and Saturdays there's an organic market only a 10 min walk away for the best quality produce.

Walmart, Chedraui or Bodega Aurrera are all a 10 minute (40MXN) taxi ride away and Walmart also has an online delivery service that brings your groceries to our door for 40MXN.

Where can I get groceries?

There are a couple of banks around the central squares in San Cristóbal that are about a 10 minute walk from Co404. For the best ones that don’t charge big fees, use Santander and Banorte.

Is there an ATM close by?

San Cristóbal has a very mild climate and is a nice break from the hot and humid tropical climate of most of Mexico because of its elevation. This town is located at 2000m above sea level which gives it nice daytime temperatures of around 20 degrees year round.

At night it cools down even in Summer and the temperature drops to around 10 degrees, ideal for a bonfire. June to November is considered rainy season but even in rainy season it often only rains for an hour a day so you can still have a great time in San Cristóbal in the Summer months!

What is the weather like in San Cristóbal?

Our Wednesday Family Dinner is the highlight of the week! Every Wednesday, we come together to enjoy a meal—sometimes our team cooks, and other times, guests share dishes from their own cultures, with our help. It’s a wonderful way to bond, share flavors, and celebrate our diverse community.

Sumidero Canyon features stunning cliffs that rise up to 1,000 meters. During a boat tour, you’ll see crocodiles, monkeys, and beautiful waterfalls, all set in a lush jungle environment. A must-visit spot for nature lovers and adventure seekers!

Co404 has a Co-working area, Chill area, a large garden, a terrace with a nice breakfast and lunch bar. A shared kitchen with free tea and coffee all day. You can work from any of the areas and the internet coverage is very good.

The easiest way to get to San Cristóbal de las Casas is to fly into Tuxtla, the nearest big city with an airport. From the airport you can either take:

  • A taxi for 800-900 MXN: You can share it with other travellers and split the price
  • ADO/OCC shuttle bus for 250 MXN + taxi for 40MXN from the ADO bus station in San Cristóbal to Co404

Or you can also take an ADO bus from any city in Mexico towards San Cristóbal de las Casas and then take a taxi from the bus station to Co404 for 40 MXN.
