Volunteering with Co404 means becoming the extra sibling, cousin, or friend every guest hasn't yet met — someone who sparks conversation over morning coffee, organizes impromptu game nights, and makes our spaces feel like home. Many have said that we have the best community vibe in all of Latin America, and that is mainly thanks to our volunteers.
Community is at the heart of everything we do, and as a volunteer your empathy and social spark turn a simple stay into lifelong friendships. If you'd rather be chatting with new people than streaming Netflix solo, and you love creating warm, inclusive spaces, you belong here. Volunteers receive a free (at least) one-month stay, daily breakfast on us, and the chance to build deeper bonds that last far beyond checkout.
You'll do 3 or 4 reception shifts a week, either 8am–2pm or 2pm–8pm. But don't picture a front desk with a headset — our "reception" is just the cozy kitchen table, where you'll be sipping coffee, chatting with guests, and being that go-to person if someone needs anything. You'll also lead one activity a week, whether that's a potluck, a sunset walk, a movie night or anything else that brings people together. The activity you lead will be compensated by Co404. Think of it less like "work," and more like being the social glue that makes the magic happen.

Roles and responsibilities
The most important role is to be family — to spark warmth, connection, and belonging for every guest and fellow volunteer at Co404. It's not about chores or checklists; it's about creating a home away from home where everyone feels welcomed, supported, and part of our community.
Each week we run three core Co404 activities, and our volunteer team selects two extra events from everyone's recommendations — five total events each week. With six volunteers, you'll help decide which two extras to host, and everyone leads at least one activity per week. Don't worry about costs — Co404 covers everything you organize.
As our Creative Chores volunteer, you'll capture and share the Co404 story — creating social media posts, photographing daily life, designing graphics, and creating engaging content across our channels.
