There is something about November that tugs at the heart a little…

You start picturing family back home, gathered around a big table, sharing food and stories and probably too much wine. You miss them, of course, but you’re busy out here building a whole new chapter of your own.
You can’t keep flying home for every occasion and holiday, but you also don’t want to feel lonely and miss out on the celebrations and love.
Guess what- being on the road does not mean being alone!
We’re big believers that home is not where you’re from, but where you feel connected- and that can be literally anywhere!
Every year around Thanksgiving, that feeling fills our houses in Oaxaca, San Cristóbal, and Medellín.

Gratitude, good food, and new friends

Maybe you can’t make it to a Co404 house this Thanksgiving. Maybe travel plans, work, or timing just don’t line up. That’s okay- you can still make it special!
Here are a few ways to celebrate and connect wherever you are:

Finding home on the road

Thanksgiving with the Co404 crew looks a little different, and honestly, that’s what makes it so special!
Someone always volunteers to roast something (from turkey to potatoes), someone makes the world’s most experimental pie, and there is always that one person who shows up with just a bottle of wine and a big smile.
It doesn’t really matter what ends up on the table- what matters is who is around it!
By the end of the night, the house smells like cinnamon and mezcal, and the room is filled with laughter and stories from all over the world. People who arrived as strangers leave as friends.
It’s everything Thanksgiving is supposed to be about!

  • Organise your own travellers’ dinner
You’d be surprised how many people are in the same boat. Pop a message in a local WhatsApp or Facebook nomad group, and you will have a full table in no time. Keep it casual- everyone brings a dish or a drink, and the focus is just on being together.

  • Call home, but make it fun
Do a family FaceTime dinner, or start a little game tradition. Trivia, charades, or even “guess what dish I tried to make this year” - it’ll make you feel like you’re actually together!

  • Share gratitude
Write down three things you are thankful for and share them with someone near you - even a new friend at a café or coworking space. Gratitude is contagious!

  • Treat yourself kindly
If you are somewhere quiet, take the day to rest. Cook something that reminds you of home, watch a feel-good movie, or journal about the things this nomad life has given you.
Sometimes the best traditions are the ones you create yourself.

The season of thanks and togetherness

Once the plates are cleared and the last slice of pumpkin pie disappears, it’s time to start thinking about Christmas.

And trust us, you’ll want to stick around for that!
From tree decorating to potluck dinners and secret Santas, we make sure the festive season is filled with warmth, laughter, and that unmistakable Co404 family vibe.
Because no matter where you are in the world, you can still feel at home!
So this year, if you are celebrating Thanksgiving far from home, know this- you already have a place at our table.
Come join the Co404 family
Wherever you are heading next, there is a seat waiting for you in Oaxaca, San Cristóbal, or Medellín.
